One of the few independent lunch places in Farringdon- the staff are really friendly, and their paninis are huge and delicious.
They also make up sandwiches and salads on demand if you ask. -

We've walked past this place for years on the way towards Farringdon station but never been in, until today. The pastas in the window looked amazing and drew us in! Ended up choosing the English breakfast for £6.50 which was huge!! Amazing sausages, loads of beans and toasted fresh buttered toast on the side. Cannot recommend highly enough for a traditional breakfast/brunch... and will have to return for those pastas...

The hot food section seems a lot of choices, so get excited by it. But the taste doesn't match the expectations.
Cheap and big proportion for a lunch take away though. But the taste is quite blank and oilly.
The sandwich section is less exciting. -

Small family run cafe next to Smithfield Market, serving good (not great) food. However its great value, £5 for a stonkingly huge panini and chicken escalope and a massive cup of coffee served by the super friendly staff.
A good place to try out when you're bored with Pret! -

This place was my savior while being a broke student living abroad in London. Huge portions of pasta for only £6 and that could last me multiple meals. It also helped that the pasta was absolutely delicious.
